Larmer Tree – “the original boutique, family-friendly festival” – celebrates its 25th anniversary this year with a marvellous programme of music, theatre and arts, within the magical grounds of Larmer Tree Gardens, near Salisbury on the Wiltshire/Dorset border.

From 14 to 19th July, this award-winning knees-up will host a range of shows for 0-10 year olds (Bubble Disco, craft workshops, Baby Yoga and music sessions et al), within easy reach of a baby-changing tent and family loos. For older fans, a medley of musical delights will be playing across six stages with highlights this year including Tom Jones, Bill Bailey, Levellers, and Magic Numbers.

There’s also an award-winning comedy club, endless workshops, and the farmer’s market which brings together delicious food stands and local ale from Ringwood Brewery. Or, if you fancy zoning out completely, head to the Secret Garden for a range of luxurious mind and body therapies. Ommmm.

For those who like to do it properly, there are Comfy Camping zones with yurts and wigwams and family-camping close to the festival gate, to make it easy on little legs (and weary parents). Alternatively, style it out in one a number of nearby 5-star hotels, including The Museum Inn and The King John Inn.
